Lise LeBlanc Classical Dressage is  proud to be working together with Susan Aldis a practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist and Animal Osteopath to offer Equine Osteopathy for clients.

Equine Osteopathy is a drug free, manual therapy that aims to improve the mobility and function of the horse's skeleton, muscles, ligaments, joints and organs, – collectively known as the musculoskeletal system. It is a holistic approach involving an understanding of the problem and its causes.

Susan will be working along side Lise to provide a wholistic approach to  helping horses and riders gain better suppleness balance, strength and connection.

Beginning this April 2025, horses in training will be assessed by Susan as part of the initial consultation. Programs for training will be designed to meet the specific needs of each individual horse and rider.

The benefits of integrating this modality into training are many:

  • Pain relief: Osteopathy is useful to identify and alleviate pain cause by many issues including, arthritis, soft tissue strains and injury

  • Mobility: By addressing musculoskeletal imbalances Osteopathy can improve range of motion, flexibility and strength

  • Healing: Osteopathy promotes the animal's natural healing systems to speed recovery and aid muscle re-formation

  • Preventative Care: Osteopathy  can help prevent, or slow the advancement of degenerative conditions

  • Behavioural Changes: By addressing pain, and informing training practices - Osteopathy can lead to positive changes in animal behaviour
